U.K. Guardian writer condemns lawmakers for “unnecessary death” of Hoffman

It is rare that a journalist will express himself in such passionate terms as those of Russell Brand, but Brand is in recovery himself and therefore identifies with the plight of those whose dependency, thanks to prohibition laws, places them in the midst of what he calls an “unregulated, criminal-controlled, sprawling, global mob economy.”
